Backup and Disaster Recovery

“The cloud” is a confusing term. In it’s simplest form, it’s simply a server that is not onsite. The infrastructure (servers) are managed by a larger entity, so you always have access to the latest and greatest for a monthly service agreement.

While the monthly investment is usually a little higher, it allows for easy scaling (both up and down) whenever needed. Rather than locking into an expensive onsite server that you will need to upgrade if you grow too fast. You also have to replace fully about every 6 years.
